Trading Strategies

Range Trading

Trading between established support and resistance levels.

Full Definition

Range trading (or range-bound trading) involves buying at support and selling at resistance within a defined price range. This strategy works best in sideways markets without clear trends. Range traders use oscillators like RSI to identify overbought/oversold conditions within the range. Breakouts from ranges signal the strategy should be abandoned.
